The 22nd Julia Margaret Cameron Gala Awards for Women Photographers drew thousands of entries from 84 countries and was juried by the team of curators of FotoNostrum, Mediterranean House of Photography. Both my series and individual images won honorable mention in the portrait category. These images were made over a week’s time while staying next to a Suri village in the Omo Valley, Ethiopia.
